Glee Plans to Respond to Gay Suicides

Hey Glee-sters!!

Recently I came to know, that one of the Glee episodes will respond to a gay individual, who committed suicide in the recent past.

Guys, if you are not aware of this story, then lemme tell you, that 18 year old gay college student, Tyler Clementi, jumped-off the George Washington Bridge in New Jersey.

This tragic incident happened when Tyler was secretly filmed in a sexual encounter with a man.

What hit him even more was that the video was put on the internet!!

Now, creator Ryan Murphy, who is also gay, has decided to focus an episode of Glee TV show, on the day-to-day terror and loneliness many homosexuals face.

Guys, the death of Tyler Clementi was not the only incident, that instigated Ryan Murphy to take such a step. Taylor’s death was accompanied by three other suicides, each due to anti-gay bullying and abuse.

These included, Seth Walsh, from California, Asher Brown, from Texas and Billy, from Indiana.

These suicides have compelled people to think whether being gay is so shameful!

I’m so disappointed!!

A person’s sexual preference is something that is completely personal – no one should interfere with that!!

Ryan Murphy said, “It’s important to send this message to the kids about bullying and the effect it can have, [and] we have to send it to the parents. We have to send it to the teachers. … Parents and the administration need to take responsibility.”

That’s a great step taken by the creator of Glee.
